Here’s the beginnings of a turtle shell ukulele. All the wood on this except the dark wood at the tuners is cherry, and the dark wood is cocobolo. It will get a rosewood fretboard and saddle, and a bone nut and bridge when all of the parts get here. Don’t worry, I couldn’t hurt a turtle. This shell came from an online taxidermy seller that gave me his word that the turtle was already gone by the time he got the shell.
This is hopefully the first of many ukulele. This one is a concert scale banjo ukulele. This one has a maple neck, bone nut and saddle, and a rosewood fretboard and bridge. The body is an eight inch tambourine.
